Polish-American Fantasy: Grand Gala of International Chopin and Friends Festival

Celebrating 100 Years of Poland-US Diplomatic Relations
Saturday, November 23, 2019 8 PM Weill Recital Hall
URL Copied
The strong Poland-US relationship and shared commitment to freedom date back to the American Revolution, when Polish leaders such as Tadeusz Kosciuszko and Casimir Pulaski aided the cause. Poland’s recovery of independence in 1918 was greatly supported by President Wilson’s Fourteen Points and the United States became the first country to recognize independent Poland in 1919. This gala concert celebrates 100 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries with Polish and American music and performers.
