Bach Cello Suites Festival

300th Anniversary Celebration
Tuesday, March 3, 2020 7 PM Weill Recital Hall
URL Copied
Bach’s six cello suites are performed by a diverse collection of artists offering a variety of musical approaches. Three suites exemplify the traditional, classic solo cello form, while in another three the cellists incorporate elements of jazz, dance, theater or voice, offering audiences a one-of-a-kind encounter with this timeless body of work. Excerpts read from Bach’s personal letters bring to life the story behind this music. Choreography is by Julia Bengtsson.
