Orpheus joins forces with members of the Sphinx Virtuosi, a self-conducted ensemble of Black and Latinx soloists, to present a program that straddles centuries and hemispheres. These like-minded chamber orchestras welcome silver medalist and Medici's.tv's online-voted "audience favorite" from the 2019 International Tchaikovsky Competition, Santiago Cañón-Valencia, who performs Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C Major and Rapsodia a los cuatro elementos, a raw and elemental showpiece for cello and strings by his Colombian compatriot Jorge Pinzón.
