There are few experiences as thrilling as Opening Night at Carnegie Hall, and this is one you will never forget. The Los Angeles Philharmonic returns to the Hall after a 30-year absence with Gustavo Dudamel on the podium conducting music by Grieg and John Adams. Adams’s rousing Tromba Lontana raises the curtain in a program that also features Lang Lang in Grieg’s Piano Concerto and soprano Liv Redpath in selections from Peer Gynt.
