CARNEGIE HALL PRESENTS

Decoda

Thursday, October 8, 2020 7:30 PM Weill Recital Hall
URL Copied
Decoda by Caroline Bittencourt
Beethoven’s Septet is one of his most jovial works, looking back to the genial wind serenades of his predecessors Haydn and Mozart. It was also one of his most popular pieces. Decoda—comprising alumni of Ensemble Connect—showcases its virtuosity in this touchstone of the repertoire, as well as in Beethoven-influenced works by Schubert, Mahler, and Schoenberg. The evening ends with an Ode to Beethoven, created in collaboration with the audience.
