Watch Sarah Willis, horn player in the Berliner Philharmoniker, host a program of highlights from three master classes for orchestral brass players. Willis, outstanding performers from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and alumni of the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America are featured in these informative and entertaining videos. Willis is seen working with the young musicians in a class that focuses on Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, “Eroica.” Other selections include the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra’s Hans Peter Schuh leading a trumpet class in an excerpt from Stravinsky’s ballet Petrushka and Dietmar Küblböck guiding young trombonists in the “Tuba mirum” from Mozart’s Requiem. Willis also hosts a live Q&A session with the online audience.
