Marc-André Hamelin by Sim Canetty-Clarke
Experience the tremendous versatility and musical inquisitiveness of pianist Marc-André Hamelin, “a performer of near-superhuman technical prowess” (The New York Times). His program spans two centuries and explores myriad styles, from the exuberant music of C. P. E. Bach to the dazzling virtuosity of Ravel’s three Gothic tales. Hamelin also performs a grandly scaled early Beethoven sonata and explores the Chopin-inflected Romanticism of Fauré’s Op. 33 Nocturnes.
