Marc-André Hamelin by Sim Canetty-Clarke
Experience the tremendous versatility and musical inquisitiveness of pianist Marc-André Hamelin, “a performer of near-superhuman technical prowess” (The New York Times). His program spans two centuries and explores myriad styles, opening with the exuberant music of C. P. E. Bach and culminating in the dazzling virtuosity of Ravel’s three Gothic tales. Hamelin also performs Beethoven’s tumultuous “Appassionata” and Schumann’s nuanced miniatures that depict forest scenes.
