Nobuyuki Tsujii by Giorgia Bertazzi
Nobuyuki Tsujii’s Carnegie Hall recital in 2019 earned a standing ovation and four encores! Feel that excitement when the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition winner returns. For the first half of his recital, he performs an ecstatic Scriabin sonata and Beethoven’s boldly heroic “Waldstein.” A superb Chopin pianist, Tsujii leads a journey of many moods through the emotional ballades of the great master. These four works—inspired by a Polish poet—tell mesmerizing tales in flights of brilliant pianism.
