CARNEGIE HALL PRESENTS
Cancelled: Tetzlaff Quartet

Zankel Hall
Be awed by the epic scale, expressive power, and ingenuity of string quartets by Tchaikovsky and Beethoven. Tchaikovsky’s quartet mourns a close friend in an especially poignant third movement. Beethoven explores new territory in his expansive quartet, notably in the final Grosse Fuge, a visionary exploration of a Classical form that tests the limits of the performers and feels as groundbreaking today as it did in Beethoven’s time.
