Sarah Willis—horn player in the Berliner Philharmoniker—hosts a concert of performances created by the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA) and NYO2 specifically for audiences online. Hear the young NYO-USA virtuosos in excerpts from Valerie Coleman’s moving Umoja and the video premiere of their performance of selections from Stravinsky’s spectacular The Rite of Spring. NYO2’s outstanding musicians are featured in the gentle “Morning Mood” from Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 and excerpts from Rachmaninoff’s thrilling Symphonic Dances. Members from both orchestras will also be on hand to chat with Willis.
