Ksenija Sidorova
Ksenija Sidorova by Dario Acosta
Accordionist Ksenija Sidorova’s passionate performances fascinate with the vast range of color she draws from her instrument. In this intriguing program, the preeminent classical accordionist celebrates the 90th birthday of Sofia Gubaidulina and 100th anniversary of tango master Astor Piazzolla’s birth. Both composers are closely associated with the accordion, but there are also daring transcriptions of music by Bach, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and more.
