Mitsuko Uchida’s performances of Mozart concertos are acclaimed for their grace, taste, and vitality. Conducting from the piano, the revered musician continues this exploration, featuring the Piano Concerto No. 21—famous for its poetic Andante used in the film Elvira Madigan—and the Piano Concerto No. 18, notable for its beautiful writing for winds. Wind music is also on display in Janácek’s Mládí, a sextet that looks back to the age of Mozart.
