Mark Padmore by Marco Borggreve, Mitsuko Uchida by Justin Pumfrey / Decca
Hear Mark Padmore and Mitsuko Uchida—two artists closely associated with the music of Schumann—perform together in intimate Zankel Hall. This recital features the beautiful and passionate music he composed at a white-hot pace for his great love, Clara Wieck. The songs are at turns introspective, rhapsodic, and sarcastic, but brilliantly lyrical and coupled with some of Schumann’s most colorful keyboard writing.
