Nicola Benedetti by Andy Gotts, Richard Egarr by Marco Borggreve
Italian Baroque composers like Vivaldi and Corelli set new standards for the violin. Both were superb violinists, and their intimate knowledge of the instrument inspired some of their most daring works. Violinist Nicola Benedetti, praised for her “voluptuous” tone and “fearless” finger work (Evening Standard) teams with the “precision, clarity, and finesse” (The Washington Post) of harpsichordist Richard Egarr for an evening of soaring melodies and sizzling virtuosity.
