This event—available in person and online—showcases four Afrofuturist films: Opal and Battledream Chronicle by Alain Bidard, Hardware by David Kirkman, and The Dieselfunk Show by Tim and Jim Fielder. A post-screening panel moderated by Randall Dottin, chair of screenwriting at the New York Film Academy, explores the impulse and desire to create Afrofuturist cinema.
