A Sound Journeys Family Concert
Tuesday, July 18, 2023
6 PM
Third Street Music School Settlement Concert Hall
Hip-hop, theater, and spoken-word artist Baba Israel has toured the world, leading inventive workshops and performing innovative concerts with such artists such as Outkast, Philip Glass, Rahzel, Lester Bowie, KRS-One, and Vernon Reid. Sound Journeys concerts for children (ages 8–11) and their families engage the imagination and invite listeners to experience music in new ways. Each concert introduces fun, interactive mindfulness activities that promote well-being through music.
This program is part of a research study, led by Mount Sinai Health System’s Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine. Audience members will be invited to complete a voluntary pre- and post-concert survey.
Same-day walkups will be accepted as space permits.
