Bass-baritone Ziliang Hao, a Featured Artist of the Opera & Art Songs Distinguished Artist Program under the Harmonia Arts International Foundation, performs a recital of Chinese art songs set to Tang dynasty poetry. Written 1,200 years ago, these poems are reimagined by leading contemporary Chinese composers. The program features soprano Lu Huang and pianist Jonathan C. Kelly, appearing courtesy of The Metropolitan Opera. Together, they offer a program that bridges historical texts with modern musical expression.
