In honor of legendary American cellist Lynn Harrell, the American Recital Debut Award was founded in 2023 by his longtime pianist Victor Santiago Asunción to carry forward Mr. Harrell’s legacy as a beacon of musicianship and humanity. The award supports exceptional emerging classical musicians who demonstrate strong potential for a performance career. Gabriel Martins is one of two 2025 recipients, and this concert marks his New York debut recital.
