Incorporating arias and songs from the great bel canto trio of Rossini, Donizetti, and Bellini, highlights of Spanish zarzuelas, and French operatic gems, Juan Diego Flórez’s concert is a vocal feast. It is also full of discoveries of appealing works that are only rarely heard on song recitals, such as Rossini’s “Le sylvain” from his Péchés de vieillesse and Donizetti’s “Come uno spirito angelico” from Roberto Devereux, the last of his trilogy of operas about British queens. Mr. Flórez’s high-flying coloratura skills will be on continual display, but also his ability to convey deep emotion.
