Ensemble Connect by Fadi Kheir
Described by The New York Times as “the new face of classical music for New York,” Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect presents an evening of inventive and dynamic chamber music. The program opens with Gabriella Smith’s Tessellations, a unique piece on patterns and how they can reform in surprising ways. Emily Liushen’s Juilliard-commissioned new work follows, offering an exciting glimpse into the next generation of contemporary composition. Nelhybel’s Trio for Brass then brings bold, resonant energy to the stage. Closing the evening is Mozart’s Quintet for Piano and Winds in E-flat Major, K. 452.
