A choir, male and female singer, and orchestra perform on stage in front of a screen projecting an illustration of a young man wearing a tuxedo
Watch a live-to-picture performance of John Ford’s 1926 silent western 3 Bad Men. The film sets its narrative against a fictionalized Dakota land rush inspired by the Oklahoma Land Run of 1889. Against this backdrop, three outlaws find unexpected redemption when they protect a young woman who seeks a new life on the frontier. Featuring world-premiere music co-composed by the junior class of NYU’s Screen Scoring Program, the original orchestral score reflects both the grandeur of Ford’s cinematic vision and the cultural forces that shaped America’s past and continue to resonate today.
