In partnership with the free Seventh Heaven Street Fair in Park Slope, Brooklyn, ShapeShifter Plus presents the second day of a two-day program that celebrates the legacy of John Coltrane and his collaborators. This daytime program expands the focus from performance to community engagement, education, and participation. The program features appearances by the ShapeShifter Lab Ensemble, Fat Cats Youth Orchestra, and more, culminating in open jam sessions that invite community participation. Together, the two days form a continuous arc—from legacy and masterworks to mentorship and the next generation—honoring the living tradition of jazz and its ongoing cultural impact.
