Our song circles bring together shy singers, bold singers, joyful listeners, and enthusiastic joiners-in of all sorts. Gatherings like these have a rich heritage across America and in many of the cultures that have shaped the nation. Newcomers are heartily welcomed to join in “the folk process,” by which old songs are kept vibrant, not stagnant, through a living tradition.
