Tonight, hear them under the direction of trumpeter and bandleader Kris Johnson in his Carnegie Hall debut! Revered NEA Jazz Master Dee Dee Bridgewater returns as a special guest vocalist, making it a performance the young musicians will never forget. Hear big-band gems and jazz standards; genre-crossing contemporary works, including a new Carnegie Hall commission by Jihye Lee; and an arrangement by NYO Jazz alum Skylar Tang.
