Zhengtao Pan Jazz Orchestra featuring Chris Potter and Rufus Reid
Zhengtao Pan brings his jazz orchestra to Zankel Hall, featuring bassist Rufus Reid and saxophonist Chris Potter. The program includes music from his studio albums Day by Day and Jade Dragonfly (forthcoming), newly commissioned works by Nick Finzer, and the premiere of a concerto written for Chris Potter. This evening of contemporary music is shaped by jazz, contemporary classical music, J-rock, and Chinese folk traditions.
