Miró Quartet
Hear why the Miró Quartet has become a mainstay on Carnegie Hall’s most intimate stage. This evening’s performance begins with Schubert’s beloved but unfinished “Quartettsatz” and ends with the composer’s monumental final string quartet, which remains awe-inspiring in its depth and variety. The program also features a classically inspired and subtly inventive composition by Pulitzer Prize winner Caroline Shaw, holder of Carnegie Hall’s 2026–2027 Debs Composer’s Chair. Finally, enjoy Webern’s posthumously discovered, single-movement Langsamer Satz, a late-Romantic–styled expression of yearning from a composer not commonly associated with such gorgeous tonal writing.
