Yunchan Lim, Piano
Following three consecutive sold-out recitals, superstar pianist Yunchan Lim returns to Carnegie Hall for another career milestone: Mozart’s 18 piano sonatas, performed as a complete cycle across four highly anticipated concerts. In the first half of tonight’s program, we hear some of Mozart’s earliest forays into the genre, as Lim performs three remarkable works written in 1774 by the 18-year-old composer. Then, discover what the maestro was capable of a decade later, as heard in the mature Piano Sonata in C Major, K. 330; and Piano Sonata in C Minor, K. 457; plus the Fantasia in C Minor, K. 475.
