Piotr Anderszewski, Piano
Revered Carnegie Hall recitalist Piotr Anderszewski performs a late sonata masterwork by Schubert and an array of Brahms’s late and final piano works, which Anderszewski has carefully sequenced to inquire, “What is this secretive man revealing to us here—or rather, what is he still trying to hide?” Anderszewski’s recitals at the Hall have been widely acclaimed for their “interpretive genius (Gramophone) and “playing of exceptional insight and finesse, which few other pianists today could match” (The Guardian). “It can be hard not to wax hyperbolic when confronted with [his] sensitive touch and potent imagination” (The New York Times).
