Link Up National
2019 Conference

May 22–23, 2019

The Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall is excited to extend an invitation to our existing orchestra partners and orchestras who have not previously participated to attend our 2019 Link Up Conference and/or attend The Orchestra Moves. Conference participants will join in panel discussions and workshops where they will learn about the Link Up program from Carnegie Hall staff and teaching artists, hear from other partner orchestras, and exchange ideas about educational programming with professionals from orchestras around the country.

For returning Link Up partners, we are unable to provide airfare or lodging to attend either event.

Conference Schedule

Wednesday, May 22, 2019
4:00 PM – Workshop: Introduction to Link Up and The Orchestra Moves
6:30 PM – Welcome Reception

Thursday, May 23, 2019
9:30 AM – Link Up panel presentation and program advocacy discussion
11:45 AM – Link Up: The Orchestra Moves concert in Stern Auditorium
1:00 – 3:30 PM – Lunch and Post-Concert Reflection
3:30 – 5:00 PM – Optional Constituency Breakout Session

Conference participants will join in panel discussions and workshops where they will learn about the Link Up program from Carnegie Hall staff and teaching artists, hear from other partner orchestras, and exchange ideas about educational programming with professionals from orchestras around the country.

New Participants

The Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall is excited to invite orchestras who have not previously attended a Link Up conference to experience our interactive orchestral education program for students in grades 3-5. Participants will join in workshops where they will learn about the Link Up program from Carnegie Hall staff and teaching artists, hear from current partner orchestras, and exchange ideas about educational programming with professionals from orchestras around the country.

Carnegie Hall will arrange and pay for the following for one* member from your organization:

  • Round-trip airfare (transportation to and from the airport is the responsibility of each guest);
  • One night hotel stay in New York City;
  • Light refreshments at the welcome reception on Wednesday evening, May 22, 2019;
  • Breakfast and lunch on Thursday, May 23, 2019;
  • Link Up workshops led by Carnegie Hall staff and teaching artists;
  • Attend a performance of Link Up: The Orchestra Moves in Carnegie Hall along with thousands of NYC schoolchildren!

* Additional guests from within your organization are welcome to attend conference events, but will be responsible for their own travel and accommodations.
