    Registration and Payment

How can my school sign up for Link Up?

Registration for 2011–2012 is now closed.  Check back on April 16 to register for 2012–2013 programs.  To sign up for Link Up, each teacher may register online. If your school has multiple participating teachers (those implementing the program and attending the professional development workshops), each teacher must register separately online. Call 212-903-9628 for assistance.

    What is the registration deadline?

Registration for 2011–2012 is now closed.  Check back on April 16 to register for 2012–2013 programs.

May a school register its teachers as a group?

No. If your school has multiple participating teachers (those attending the professional development workshops and teaching the program), each teacher must register separately online. Please call 212-903-9628 with questions.

Do I have to be a music teacher to implement Link Up?

No, but because Link Up includes some instruction in reading music, singing, and/or playing the recorder, our experience has been that it is most successful when implemented by general-classroom teachers with a basic knowledge of music, or in music classrooms. If you are not sure the program is right for you, please call 212-903-9628 to speak with a staff member.

Another teacher at my school is implementing the Link Up curriculum with my students. Must I register and attend the professional development workshop, too?

No. Only teachers who implement the curriculum directly with students are considered participating teachers. Only they must register and attend professional development workshops and the concerts. Teachers who attend the concerts but do not implement the curriculum are considered chaperones. Please call 212-903-9628 with questions.

My class size went up or down since I registered. What do I do?

Please note that after October 1, 2010, the number of students you register may not be adjusted, nor can refunds be issued. Please plan accordingly when registering. Contact us in writing or via email (linkup@carnegiehall.org) with questions.

How much does Link Up cost?

The fee for participating teachers is $30; the fee per student is $6. Concert tickets for chaperones (1 per 10 students) are free of charge. Additional adult tickets are $6 each.

Your concert will take place in Stern Auditorium / Perelman stage.

When do the doors open for the Link Up concert? When should we arrive?

As these events are general admission (no assigned seats), we encourage you to arrive early to line up for the best seats. Doors open 30 minutes before the concert and no one will be admitted before then.

What instructions should I give to my bus drivers?

Buses should drop off students on the east side of Seventh Avenue, facing south, in front of the Zankel Hall marquee. Following the concert, buses should again line up along the east side of Seventh Avenue, facing south. Please note that buses may not wait in front of Carnegie Hall during the concert.
