The B-Side Application
The B-Side invites young people ages 14–22 to apply for its beginner-level music industry course. Selected participants will be sorted into two cohorts for ages 14–17 and 18–22. The application opens October 1, 2025 and closes December 5, 2025.
All application materials must be submitted using an online form administered by Acceptd. In order to start The B-Side application, you will need to create an Acceptd account. Once you create an Acceptd account, you will be able to start The B-Side application and save your progress at any point. You do not need to complete the application in one sitting as long as it is submitted by the deadline.
Important Program Information
- Workshops will take place at Carnegie Hall’s Resnick Education Wing in Manhattan (154 West 57th Street, New York, 10019).
- You will receive a stipend for your participation.
- Transportation and food are provided during the program.
Key Dates
The B-Side will have two cohorts (ages 14–17 and 18–22): Both cohorts start with a weeklong intensive followed by one month of after-school workshops. The weeklong intensive for ages 14–17 starts during the Winter Break, and the one for ages 18–22 starts during Spring Break.
Cohort #1 (Ages 14–17)
Orientation: February 13, 2026 at 5 PM–7:30 PM
Intensive: February 17–20, 2026 at 10 AM–5 PM
Workshops: Tuesdays and Thursdays from February 24, 2026–March 26, 2026
Sessions will be held from 4:30 PM–6:30 PM.
Final Event: March 27, 2026 at 5:30 PM–8:30 PM
Cohort #2 (Ages 18–22)
Orientation: April 2, 2026 at 5 PM–7:30 PM
Intensive: April 6–10, 2026 at 10 AM–5 PM
Workshops: Tuesdays and Thursdays from April 21, 2026–May 14, 2026
Sessions will be held from 4:30 PM– 6:30 PM.
Carnegie Hall Concert: Wednesday May 20, 2026, Zankel Gallery (7:30 PM)
Note there will be no workshops during the week of May 18, 2026.
Final Event: June 5, 2026 at 5:30 PM–8:30 PM
