Spotlight on the Year of Czech Music

November 18–December 7, 2024

Carnegie Hall joins music lovers around the world for the 2024 Year of Czech Music, a decennial celebration that highlights legendary Czech composers. At the Hall, soloists Yo-Yo Ma, Gil Shaham, and Daniil Trifonov join the Czech Philharmonic to perform concertos by Dvořák. The Prague Philharmonic Choir joins the orchestra in Janáček’s Glagolitic Mass in addition to performing its own concert of Czech choral works. Today’s most celebrated Czech string quartet—the Pavel Haas Quartet—performs an all-Czech program, and Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts a special concert with The Met Orchestra Chamber Ensemble.
