The MET Orchestra
Three special concerts represent a unique opportunity to hear the lush sound of The MET Orchestra outside the opera house. Concerts in the 2019–2020 season are conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Gianandrea Noseda, featuring music by Beethoven, Shostakovich, R. Strauss, and others.
Subscriptions are now available for The MET Orchestra’s 2020–2021 Carnegie Hall series, opening with Semyon Bychkov conducting Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 7, “Leningrad.” Next, Nézet-Séguin conducts an all-Berlioz program with mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato. The final concert—also conducted by Nézet-Séguin—includes Act I of Wagner’s Die Walküre, featuring soprano Christine Goerke.
