The Knights
The Knights by Shervin Lainez

Led by Colin Jacobsen and Eric Jacobsen, The Knights expand classical music’s boundaries with innovative programming, exuberant performances, and insatiable curiosity. This season, The Knights welcome eminent pianist Emanuel Ax in a program of Mozart’s piano concertos and more. They perform Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, works by Purcell, and a New York premiere by Nico Muhly in a must-hear collaboration with the similarly adventurous and beloved Brooklyn Rider string quartet. The series concludes with an amazingly wide-ranging program that includes an orchestral suite by J. S. Bach, Stravinsky’s Concerto in D; Geminiani’s Concerto Grosso in D Minor (after Corelli's Violin Sonata Op. 5, No. 12, "Folia"); and The Mountain That Loved a Bird by Pulitzer Prize–winning composer Caroline Shaw.
