Recent Notables Events
On March 11, Patron Council Member Neil Westreich hosted a private concert in his home. Members of Ensemble Connect performed Mendelssohn’s Piano Tro No. 1 in D Minor, Op. 49 and Medtner’s Fairy Tale, Op. 51, No. 3.
On April 23, 2019, Notables and special guests enjoyed a private performance featuring Andreas Ottensamer and Yuja Wang, followed by a reception at Brasserie 8 ½. The event was generously underwritten by Nicola and Beatrice Bulgari.
Members of the Explorers and Notables enjoyed a private dinner reception at Carnegie Hall.
On May 12, 2018, Sarah Wesley and Michael Bretholz hosted members of the Notables and special guests for a festive evening at Carnegie Hall, featuring live jazz by vocalist Maya Yahav Gour and the MusicTalks Jazz Quartet.
On February 1, members of the Carnegie Hall Notables and New York Public Library Young Lions enjoyed a Midwinter Poetry Jam in the Trustees Room of the New York Public Library. Guests enjoyed music by Leon Boykins, Sam Reider, and Jake Goldbas, and readings that featured works by Joshua Baldwin, Robert Crawford, Adi Hanash, James Juletid, Sueyeun Juliette Lee, Lynn Melnick, and Stuart Watson. The event was generously underwritten by Grace Kim and Matthew Holtzman.
On June 15, members of Notables Japan and friends enjoyed a one-of-a-kind collaborative performance featuring Japanese cellist, Hitomi Niikura and award-winning artist, Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic. The event was held at EDGEOf in Shibuya, Tokyo. Special thanks to EDGEOf for providing event space and staff support. On December 5, 2017, members of the Notables enjoyed a private performance featuring Grammy nominated guitarist Julian Lage. Following the performance, guests enjoyed a private reception in the Weill Music Room and Weill Terrace Room with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and music by DJ Ross Clark and the Felix Lemerle Trio.
On December 14, 2018, members of the Notables enjoyed a private performance featuring mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton. Following the performance, guests enjoyed a private reception in the Weill Music Room and Weill Terrace Room with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and music by DJ Prince Hakim and Cole Ramstad.
On December 20, members of Notables Japan and friends enjoyed an exclusive performance from Seiji Okamoto, winner of the 19th annual JS Bach and 60th National Japanese Student Music Competitions. The event was held at the Yellow Korner Pop Up Shop in Roppongi, Tokyo, which was decorated with photography featuring New York City.
