New York String Orchestra
The New York String Orchestra is conducted by Jaime Laredo in two concerts. For the first, the young musicians are joined by violinist Nancy Zhou in an all-Mozart program that includes the composer’s “Turkish” Concerto and magnificent “Jupiter” Symphony. The second concert features Laredo with violinist Shannon Lee in Bach’s “Double” Concerto, Peter Serkin performing Bartók’s Piano Concerto No. 3, and Brahms’s Symphony No. 1.
