Orpheus Chamber Orchestra

Saturday, June 6, 2020 7 PM Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage

Tine Thing Helseth, trumpet, challenges the boundaries of genre, whether reinterpreting Baroque and Classical themes or riffing on tunes from her native Norway. Orpheus celebrates her return to Carnegie Hall for another performance with the orchestra. In this concert, soloists battle, rejoice and frolic in works from Biber, Handel and Vivaldi, while Haydn reminds us, with both the contents and nickname of his dynamic symphony, that “times change.”
