    We are augmenting our usual workshop format and guest faculty to include curriculum tracks that will allow educators to dive deeper into areas of study that are most relevant to their personal growth.

    All educators will participate in the following workshops:

    • Program Overview with Keynote
    • Exploration of Artistry
    • Bric-a-Brac: The Survivor’s Guide to Working in a New York City Music Classroom
    • The Rehearsal Process: A Choral Demonstration Session
    • The Rehearsal Process: An Instrumental Demonstration Session
    • Reflecting on the Year in the Music Educators Workshop

    Educators will also have the opportunity to select one of the following three curriculum tracks, which will meet for five sessions throughout the 2016–2017 school year:

    • Building from Repertoire: How to get the most out of the music you play with your ensemble.
    • Composing with Your Ensemble: Support for educators looking to lead songwriting and composition work with their students across a range of genres.
    • Leading and Creating Your Ensemble: Opportunity to investigate a range of rehearsal strategies and develop conducting technique through participation in a choral ensemble with peers.
