Choirs from the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, comprising of more than 400 voices, perform an Easter day program of traditional and modern choral music. Australian composer Thomas King’s Lux et Tenebris is performed in a world premiere. The program also includes Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs, the first of which is a setting of George Herbert’s lyrical poem Easter. Diana Wiens, Elise Bradley, Stephen M. Hopkins and Lindy Connett make their Carnegie Hall conducting debuts.
