Maurizio Pollini by Mathias Bothor / DG
Hailed as “the Italian arch-aristocrat of the piano” by The Independent (London), Maurizio Pollini is always one of the most eagerly awaited recitalists at Carnegie Hall. His craft is “so accomplished it thrills on its own terms” (The Boston Globe), and his “exquisite pianism” (The New York Times) rings mesmerizingly true in the acoustics of Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage.
