The illustrious Cleveland Orchestra sets the stage for a dramatic performance with Haydn’s turbulent Symphony No. 52 before presenting the anticipated Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage debut of soprano Asmik Grigorian—a recent worldwide “sensation” (BBC Music Magazine) at leading opera houses such as the Vienna State Opera and Salzburg Festival. Music Director Franz Welser-Möst calls Grigorian “the complete package” (The New York Times), and indeed, their recent collaborations on major international stages have earned overwhelming levels of excitement from audiences and critics alike.
