In the grand Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, she joins the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel in a New York premiere by Gabriela Ortiz—Carnegie Hall’s 2024–2025 Debs Composer’s Chair—whose new concerto was composed for Weilerstein’s extraordinary talents. In Zankel Hall, Weilerstein presents parts 2 and 3 of her multi-year and multisensory FRAGMENTS series that weaves together J. S. Bach’s six suites for solo cello with new commissions by some of today’s most compelling composers along with immersive visual components.
