Brahms Programs at Carnegie Hall

Experience the enduring magic of Johannes Brahms throughout Carnegie Hall’s 2023–2024 season. One of the greatest composers of all time, this 19th-century master was widely considered to be Beethoven’s successor, and his powerful body of work demands to be heard in a concert hall.

Daniel Barenboim conducts the historic Staatskapelle Berlin in all four symphonies (November 30 and December 1). Zubin Mehta leads the Munich Philharmonic and Yefim Bronfman in back-to-back all-Brahms programs (February 3–4). Orchestra of St. Luke’s welcomes choirs and soloists to perform the composer’s choral masterwork—the German Requiem (May 9)—and welcomes Isabelle Faust as soloist in a performance of his Violin Concerto (February 8).

Plus, hear an incredible variety of Brahms’s compositions in performances by Evgeny Kissin, Alexandre Kantorow, Christian Tetzlaff with Kirill Gerstein, Maxim Vengerov, Tabea Zimmermann, the Bamberg Symphony , the Dover Quartet with Leif Ove Andsnes, and more.
