Hymns from Auschwitz: A Tribute to Viktor Ullman and Michel Assael

New Manhattan Sinfonietta brings together premieres in this meaningful concert. This performance includes "Hymns from Auschwitz" for Hazans and piano by Elcil Gürel Göçtü, a young composer of Renan Koen's March of the Music initiative; Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 24 in C minor, K.491, performed in memory of Viktor Ullmann; and the Auschwitz Symphonic Poem by Holocaust survivor Michel Assael, which was discovered through the research of Dr. Joe Halio, assisted by Koen.
