Opera and concert singer Alexandra Nowakowski, praised by Opera News for her “impassioned singing,” performs a free, Friday-evening recital with pianist Michał Biel. They perform a varied selection of works by Massenet, Szymanowski, Toldrá, Falla, Obradors, Dvořák, Debussy, and Granados, which the artists present together as a program titled, “Mother, let me live!” Ms. Nowakowski’s comments in between works will illuminate the significance of this eye-catching theme.
