Extraordinary harpist Bridget Kibbey, called “the Yo-Yo Ma of the harp” (Vogue) is in demand for her virtuosic, soulful performances that transcend her instrument. Crossing genres that range from classical and jazz to global traditions and early music, Kibbey dives deep into historical periods—including the Baroque and the French Belle Époque—and traditions—including Persian modes and Nuevo Latino—all the while staying on the vanguard of new music. According to The New York Times, “She made it seem as though her instrument had been waiting all its life to explode with the energetic figures and colors she was getting from it.”

Kibbey is a winner of an Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Premiere Prix at the Journées de les Harpes Competition, and she recently made her NPR Tiny Desk solo debut and holds a place in the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s Bowers Program. She has appeared as concerto soloist with Orchestras across the US, Europe, and Middle East. Her season highlights include solo debuts at Koerner Hall, Dumbarton Oaks, Caramoor, Music@Menlo, Savannah Music Festival, Festival Napa Valley, Skaneateles Festival, and VIVO Festival, among others. She is featured alongside the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in Alice Tully Hall and at Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Celebrated Latin Grammy Award–winning percussionist, composer, and arranger, Samuel Torres was born in Bogotá, Colombia. He was artistically nurtured in the bustling and culturally sophisticated metropolis where jazz and classical music share the stage with salsa and an infinite variety of Colombian folk idioms. By the age of 12, Torres was performing with various ensembles in the city, developing techniques that allowed him to quickly adapt to the demands of jazz, pop, and salsa. Shortly after arriving in the US, he was tapped by famed Cuban trumpet virtuoso Arturo Sandoval to join his group. He spent four years touring and recording with the jazz legend as well as Tito Puente, Paquito D’Rivera, Chick Corea, Alejandro Sanz, Ricky Martin, Don Byron, Richard Bona, Lila Downs, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Angélique Kidjo, Marc Anthony, Rubén Blades, Fonseca, Andrés Cepeda, Thalía, and his country’s own international superstar Shakira.

His talents have also been featured in concerts with classical orchestras such as Berliner Symphoniker, City of London Sinfonia, Boston Pops, Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra, Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra, University of Delaware Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Nashville Symphony. Recently, Torres was awarded his second New Jazz Works Grant by Chamber Music America, and his album Regreso, with the New Philharmonic of Bogotá, won a Latin Grammy Award under the category of best classical album.

Louis Arques is a multifaceted clarinetist passionate about encounters, travels, nature, and arts. Moving from France to the US in 2016, he swiftly became one of New York City’s most in-demand soloists, orchestral musicians, chamber players, and sidemen. In 2018, he received his master’s degree from the New School College of Performing Arts where he studied under the guidance of Charles Neidich and David Krakauer. Since he arrived in New York, he started performing Afro-Cuban music in restaurants and clubs with numerous bands like Grupo Irek and Sonido Costeno. As a soloist, he has performed Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, Debussy’s Prémiere Rhapsody, and Wojciech Ziemowit Zych’s Bass Clarinet Concerto. A sought-after chamber musician, he collaborates and regularly performs recitals with pianist Vladimir Rumyantsev in the US and with pianist Nima Sarkechik in France, with whom he just released an album of Brahms’s Sonatas. With the guitarist Richard Boukas, he founded the Diálogos Duo, and they released a first album of Boukas’s compositions Homage to the Brazilian Masters. He has toured with harpist Bridget Kibbey alongside percussionist Samuel Torres, to the Savannah Music Festival, The Cliburn, and Dayton Live Arts.
