2025 Summer Music Educators Workshop

Joy in the Music Classroom

June 28–July 1, 2025

How can music educators create joyful learning environments that inspire and sustain a lifelong love of music? How can expressions of joy in the classroom empower deeper learning? More than 150 K–12 music educators from across the country gathered at Carnegie Hall’s Resnick Education Wing from June 28 to July 2, 2025, to expand the impact of their work with young musicians. Through the theme of joy in the music classroom, teachers explored Carnegie Hall’s Great Music Teaching Framework with faculty, connected with peers from across the country, and invested in their own artistry through participatory music making sessions.
