An Evening of Chamber Music by Schubert
Thursday, March 17, 2022
8 PM
Weill Recital Hall
Pedja Muzijevic by Jacob Blickenstaff, Liv Redpath by Thomas Brunot
The natural world’s influence on Schubert shines through in this program. “Auf Dem Strom” tells the story of lost love, swept away by the ever-flowing stream. “Shepherd in the Rock” sets verses of poetry to music that explores the expansive breadth of human emotion. The “Trout” Quintet exemplifies Schubert in his most lighthearted days, on summer vacation in the countryside. Joining Orchestra of St. Luke’s musicians are soprano Liv Redpath and pianist Pedja Mužijević.
