Pianist Mika Sasaki has established herself as a sought-after chamber musician, soloist, and emerging educator. Since her solo debut with the Sinfonia of Cambridge, she has appeared twice with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and more recently with the 92Y School of Music Orchestra in New York City. Her festival appearances include pianoSonoma, Music@Menlo, Tanglewood, Focus!, Taos School of Music, Accademia Musicale Chigiana (Italy), Yellow Barn, Aspen, and Estherwood. She has performed frequently at venues in the US, Europe, and Japan; live on WQXR radio; and recently recorded her debut album on Yarlung Records.

Born in Atlanta, Mika grew up in New Jersey, moved to Tokyo in 2001, and returned to the US to pursue her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate as a CV Starr Fellow at The Juilliard School, where she is also on the piano faculty of the Evening Division. As part of her fellowship with Ensemble Connect, Mika teaches at IS 025 Adrien Block in Queens.
